Where is God in this desert?

I remember the first time I found myself in that place—not a physical desert, but a season of life when everything seemed to slip away. My marriage was falling apart. The church I once cherished was suddenly gone. Friendships were broken, and dreams were shattered. I felt so lost. Each new day brought fear, pain, and very few answers. I didn’t know what to do, so I did nothing. I woke up each morning weighed down by disorientation, unsure which way to go. I moved through each day blindly, working and caring for my children.
I talked only to God. He carried me through. I learned to talk to Him, trust Him, rely on Him, and love Him more deeply. My boys were too young to understand what was happening. They didn’t know the reason for my tears.
God was enough—more than enough. I may not have received everything I wanted, but He supplied all I needed.
Philippians 4:19 (NIV): “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
As I look back on that first desert experience, I know He was there with me every day, every step. He heard every cry and helped me through it.
So whatever you are going through today, you are not alone. He is right there beside you, ready to meet your needs as you rely on Him.
